Opening Keynote Address: Evolving With the Rapidly Changing Euro-Economic Landscape

Sony Kapoor, Managing Director of the think tank Re-Define, will share his insights on the current state of the economy in Europe and his predictions for the future.  Kapoor is deeply committed to finding a solution to the on-going economic and financial crises and his valuable perspective has been utilized by policy makers and civil society in the European Union and internationally.  He is the strategy adviser to the Systemic Risk Centre at the London School of Economics and was, until recently, also Chairman of the European Banking Authority's Stakeholder group, a Visiting Fellow at the European Commission and an Expert Adviser to the European Parliament.

10:30-12:00 Cross-Cultural Negotiation Workshop
Oscar van Weerdenburg, author and award winning speaker will guide  this workshop which focuses on key skills for negotiating effectively across cultures. You will receive practical tools to prepare and structure your negotiation approach and a clear framework for analyzing the cultural context of your negotiation. We will address the four intercultural competences that will help you to negotiate effectively across cultures. Through a series of short case studies, participants will practice dilemma reconciliation as a technique for resolving cross-cultural dilemmas.

  • Adopt critical analyses practices that help define the cultural context of your negotiation
  • Examine and understand how to leverage the four intercultural competencies
