Christine Delgado

Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs in Palm Springs, California, has named Christine Delgado director of sales. Delgado previously was director of sales and marketing for the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel and Convention Center.

Lisa Tiernan

Loews Boston Hotel has named Lisa Tiernan director of sales and marketing. Tiernan most recently was director of sales and marketing at The Fairmont Battery Wharf Hotel.

Anna Gebert

Visit Phoenix has hired Anna Gebert as director of national accounts for sales territories in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington, D.C.. Gebert previously promoted Columbus, Ohio, and St. Louis as destinations, marketing them to the same mid-Atlantic region. She also has worked in various positions for Choose Chicago.

Jeanne L. Malone

The Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), The Premier Association of Financial Professionals®, is pleased to announce the promotion of Jeanne L. Malone, CMP, to the position of Meeting Services Director. Malone has worked at MDRT for 11 years, most recently as a manager in the Meeting Services Department.

Simon Greenbury and Steve Reed

Midlands based publisher and exhibitions organiser Expo Management has made two key appointments in the marketing team for its trade event Best of Britain and Ireland (BoBI). 
Simon Greenbury brings over 30 years experience in PR, marketing and branding with particular expertise in the travel, leisure and exhibition sectors. His responsibilities will include raising the profile of the event and the BoBI brand among key stakeholders including the media, exhibitors and visitors.
 
Expo Management has appointed Steve Reed with a specific brief to help continue the increase of group travel organisers (GTOs) attending the event as well as helping the sales team sign up UK attractions.

Jim Abrahamson

Jim Abrahamson, CEO of hotel management company Interstate Hotels & Resorts, has been named national chair of the U.S. Travel Association, the group announced last week. Abrahamson, who previously was first vice chair, succeeds Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority President and CEO Rossi Ralenkotter.

Marriott International has appointed Neil Jones to the newly created position of chief sales and marketing officer for the Middle East and Africa, in order to cater for the growing number of properties in the hotel group's MEA portfolio.
