Milton Segarra

Milton Segarra was named the new president and CEO of the Puerto Rico Convention Bureau. Segarra previously was executive director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company and served as Secretary of the Department of Economic Development and Commerce. He also has held various sales, marketing and C-level management positions with some of Puerto Rico’s top international hotel brands, including Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Hyatt Resorts Puerto Rico.

Diana Kamper

Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort on Maui has hired Diana Kamper as director of national accounts in its group-sales department. She will be based in Arizona and will focus on bringing franchise and franchise- association business to the resort, with no limits on her geographic territory. Kamper was previously president of Signature Sites & Incentives, where she provided help with site selection and inspection, budgeting and contract negotiations. 

Cara Banasch

The New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau has hired hotel sales executive Cara Banasch as vice president of convention sales and strategy. Banasch took over for veteran sales leader Nikki Nicholson Moon, upon her retirement after 31 years of service to New Orleans’ meetings industry.

Banasch previously served as area director of sales and marketing for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., overseeing 12 hotels in major markets throughout the south east and previously in Boston, from her base in New Orleans. Prior to this role, she held numerous leadership positions with Starwood including development of sales strategy for 16 new hotels in North America and running the global sales offices in Washington, D.C. and Toronto.

David Collyer

The Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) has named David Collyer as director of marketing UK and Ireland. Collyer has been with IHG for the last six years and most recently held the role of marketing manager, during his time with the group Collyer ran the re-launch of the Holiday Inn brand across 58 hotels. On top of spending six years with IHG Collyer has over 20 years’ of experience in marketing and brand development roles and spent 10 years at the WPP network before moving client side.

Joanne Haidvogl

Wyndham Jade’s travel fulfillment services continue to experience growth as business travel bounces back from its 2009 low. In response to this growth, Wyndham Jade has hired Joanne Haidvogl, a 28-year veteran of American Express, to help manage its healthy client base and support three newly acquired business travel accounts.

Dan Carraher

The Oakland Marriott City Center has annuounced Dan Carraher as Area Director of Sales & Marketing and Nicole Hankton as Marketing Manager to the Area Sales & Marketing team. This team oversees all sales & marketing initiatives for the Oakland Marriott City Center, Courtyard Oakland Downtown and Oakland Convention Center.

Aysegul Gurgezoglu and Ali Selcuk Can

The Turkish culture and tourism office based in London has appointed new directors – Aysegul Gurgezoglu and Ali Selcuk Can. Their appointment comes at a time when the London-based office reports to be in a new era, with lots of new and different activities in the pipeline and announcements to come in the near future.

S. Lynn Mucciano

Officials at Marshall Hotels & Resorts, Inc., a leading hotel management and services company that operates properties nationwide, today announced that S. Lynn Mucciano has been appointed executive vice president of sales and marketing. In her new role, Mucciano will oversee the sales and marketing effort for the company’s 50-plus hotel and resort management portfolio.
