Ryan Bunker

Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, Arizona, has appointed Ryan Bunker director of sales and marketing. Bunker previously was director of sales and marketing at Tucson Marriott University Park.

Laura Fiore

Laura Fiore has been appointed director of sales and marketing at Eden in Rome. Fiore most recently was director of sales and marketing for Hotel Castello di Casole in Siena, Italy.

Kristen Thompson

Kristen Thompson has been named director of marketing at Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica. Most recently, Thompson was director of sales for Four Seasons Hotel Denver and Four Seasons Resort Vail.

Stormi Boyd

Stormi Boyd, CMP, CMM joins Red Velvet Events' executive team as Director of Professional Services. Stormi has been in the Austin area for over 20 years, with more than 15 years of experience in the meeting planning and events industry.

Jean-François Quentin

UBM Brazil has appointed Jean-François Quentin as UBM Brazil’s first COO. As COO, Quentin will be responsible for many of the day to day operations of UBM Brazil, as well as supporting Joris van Wijk in the business’s strategic growth and development in the region. Quentin will take up his role in May 2014, reporting to van Wijk, who is president of UBM Brazil.

Joe Santarius

Meet Minneapolis, Convention and Visitors Association, hired on Joe Santarius as new sales account executive in the Destination Sales department at the Minneapolis Convention Center. He brings more than two years of experience in sales, marketing and communications to this position. Santarius most recently worked as a senior environmental and engineering recruiter for Bloomington, Minn.-based Aerotek.

William Bacon, Mike Hatch & Nick Hagen

Digitell Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of three new Executive team members that have been added to support new growth in their Marketing, Live Streaming, and Webinar Services.

William Bacon has joined the team as the Director of Marketing. William is responsible for outbound product marketing, which includes branding and go-to-market strategy, and the execution of those particular marketing plans.

Mike Hatch, a veteran of the meetings and event industry, was also recently brought on as the Business Development Director. Mike will drive Digitell's products and services into the exhibitor and corporate event market.

Nick Hagen has been hired as Digitell's new Director of Software Development. Nick is an experienced and talented programmer whose vision and management experience will help bring Digitell's software development to the next level.

Sceptre Hospitality Resources today announced that Jason Mier has joined the company as SHR's first director of client experience management. In this role, Mier will oversee all touch points between SHR and its clients as the company strengthens its focus on client satisfaction and support.

Peter van Peborgh-Gooch

Peter van Peborgh-Gooch has been appointed director of sales and marketing at DUKES, St. James in London, United Kingdom. Leaving JAL Hotels, a Japanese-owned global hotel management company, to join the talented team at DUKES ST JAMES LONDON, Peter’s abundant experience within the hospitality industry will be an asset to Mayfair’s luxurious boutique hotel. An accomplished hotelier with more than 27 years’ experience in sales and marketing and operations within the hospitality sector.

Vicki Richards

Four Seasons Hotels have today announced the appointment of Vicki Richards as Senior Director of Sales for its UK Collection with immediate effect. In her new role, Ms Richards will oversee all sales activity for the brand’s three UK properties: Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire, Four Seasons Hotel London at Canary Wharf and Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane.

Eric A. Danziger

Hampshire Hotels Management, LLC, today announced that effective April 7, 2014, Eric A. Danziger has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of the privately held group. Sant Singh Chatwal will remain Chairman of the Company.

Randolph Weisz

Auberge Resorts, operator and owner of boutique luxury hotels, resorts, residences and private clubs across North America, announced today that Randolph Weisz, a former executive vice president at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, will join the company as executive advisor to the senior management team.

Dan Boyer

The Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel announced the appointment of Dan Boyer as director of sales and marketing. Boyer has 30 ye+ars of experience in the hospitality industry. He has served in several sales positions with Marriott International, including director of sales and marketing of the Renaissance St. Louis Grand Hotel for the last seven years.

Karen Williams

The Commission of the Louisville CVB has appointed veteran hospitality industry executive Karen Williams as the head of the city’s tourism agency. Williams is now the President & CEO after serving as Interim following the departure of Jim Wood in January of this year.

Amber Levy

RIMS, the risk management society™, has appointed Amber Levy as the Society’s director of membership and constituent programs.

John Chan

The Phoenix Convention Center welcomes John Chan as its executive director. Chan, who will manage a $47 million operating budget and 252 employees, previously served as the director of the Phoenix Convention Center from May 2009 – November 2011. Chan returns to the Phoenix Convention Center from the City of Phoenix Community and Economic Development Department where he served as department director since 2011.

Kelly Henninger

Seasoned sales and marketing professional, Kelly Henninger, joins the Charlotte Plaza Uptown Hotel as its new director of sales. Prior to joining the JHM Hotels portfolio, Kelly worked at SREE Hotels, LLC as Area Director of Sales in the Charlotte Airport Area.

The Philadelphia Multicultural Affairs Congress (MAC), a division of the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB), has announced Gregory DeShields as the organization’s new Executive Director. A member of the Multicultural Affairs Congress Board of Directors for over 10 years, DeShields will officially take on his new role April 14, 2014.

Industry veteran Donna Karl, CMP, has joined Tradeshow Logic as vice president of event operations. Tradeshow Logic’s meeting and event management segment business has doubled annually since 2010.

David Taylor

The Charles Hotel in Cambridge, Massachusetts, has appointed David Taylor director of sales and marketing. Most recently, Taylor was executive director of sales and marketing at Wequassett Resort and Golf Club in Harwich, Massachusetts.

The American Association of Diabetes Educators’ meetings services department has promoted Jackie Bellan to Meetings Manager and Leah Johnson to Meeting Planner.
