Foundation Volunteer Opportunities

The PCMA Education Foundation Board of Trustees is seeking volunteers for 2014 Foundation fundraising task forces.  Available opportunities are listed below.

To indicate your interest to volunteer, simply email foundation@pcma.org with your selected task force no later than Friday, October 4, 2013 .  Assignments will be made by mid-October. 

Giving Task Force

The PCMA Education Foundation Giving Task Force works with staff to implement a year round giving campaign. The Task Force assists staff in launching a kickoff at PCMA Convening Leaders and assists in implementing the Giving Plan to sustain the program on a year round basis. The Task Force promotes the benefits of personally giving to the PCMA Education Foundation and works to achieve maximum revenue goals through individual, corporate and chapter donations. 

This Task Force is recommended for members who:

  • Have been employed at least five (5) years in the industry
  • Are comfortable soliciting donations

Time Commitment:

  • Solicit and collect donations at face to face events (PCMA Convening Leaders and Education Conference)
  • Participation in four to five conference calls throughout the year
  • Approximately 15 hours of outside work to include researching other industry giving programs and developing new ways to market the campaign and solicit donations

Dinner Celebrating Professional Achievement Task Force

The PCMA Education Foundation Dinner Celebrating Professional Achievement Task Force works with staff to make the Foundation Dinner the most successful black tie industry event, honoring the lifetime achievements of industry professionals.  The Task Force works to promote the sponsorship of tables and tickets for the Dinner to achieve maximum revenue goals and raise awareness of the PCMA Education Foundation.

This Task Force is recommended for members who:

  • Have been employed at least five (5) years in the industry
  • Have attended at least one (1) PCMA Education Foundation Dinner
  • Are comfortable soliciting table and ticket sales for the event

Time Commitment:

  • Participation in four to six conference calls during the first six months of the year
  • Approximately 15 hours of outside work to include making solicitation calls to produce table/ticket sponsors and obtain all necessary sponsor documents

Auction Task Force

The PCMA Education Foundation Auction Task Force works with staff to obtain donations of desirable packages by including a myriad of amenities and services for both our spring auction held at the Foundation Dinner and online auction, to be held in the fall. The Task Force works to promote packages to achieve maximum revenue goals and raise awareness of the PCMA Education Foundation.

This Task Force is recommended for members who:

  • Have been employed at least five (5) years in the industry
  • Are comfortable reaching out to their contacts to obtain donated items for the auction

Time Commitment:

  • Participation in six to eight conference calls throughout the year, beginning in the fall of 2013
  • Approximately 15 hours of outside work to include researching other industry auctions, making solicitation calls to secure packages and obtain all necessary sponsor documents
